Combining Sound and moving pictures has always been my first love (workwise at least)...
Off and on for most of my life I have been making work that blurs the landscape between scoring of conventional story-type movies, and making film sequences to promote songs (both of which I have done but found unsatisfactory because one is always "in charge", while the other is subservient - basically there to make the boss look or feel better.
www.unklesleazy.tv is a website that will showcase my personal film/sound work over the last 30 or more years. For both legal and financial reasons it will be a "Member's Only" site (not available in Thailand) , though between now and the Winter Solstice 2010, you can register and login for free, though you cannot share your login information with anyone else.
Thereafter every six months, you will be able to buy a permanent record (in full HD where possible) of the Works odded to the site in the last six months (on Flash Drive or similar), which will come bundled with a free invitation to re-register for further six months You can re-register using the same username and password, but unless you have the unique invitation code that accompanies your purchase and re-register the old login details will no longer work.
This way you don't need to worry about huge downloads, or hard drive crashes, or changing computers, as you will have a material record of the Works on the site (which will be added to regularly), and we don't have to act like pornographers or worry about rolling subscriptions or rebilling problems.
You get to keep the films (both old and new) that have added during the last six months (some old some new), as well as free access to the website for the next six months, as a kind of digital preview of Works in Progress... Works will not be removed from the website once they appear on Flash Drive, but will remain indefinately for your reference.
