On November 25th 2010 between 2AM & 6AM

Peter ‘Sleazy’ Christopherson quietly passed away while he slept in his Bangkok home.

He left the way he would have wished to go, in the country he loved,

in his own bed and not alone.

He would have also loved the fact his body wasn’t taken away in an ambulance but, by the Poh Teck Tung.

A week-long traditional Thai ceremony will be held at Bangkok temple,

after which his cremation will take place.

 

He will be missed but never forgotten.

    J’ai ,presque toutes la discographie de COIL mais il me manque tout ce qui est vidéos !
    Je ne savais pas ou mettre ce message en plus en Français …
    “COIL” je l’ai tatoué sur le dos depuis 25 ans, j’aime ce groupe et je voudrais la totale, merci d’avance !

    When I heard about his death, I sofly smiled as I knew the way he died. An apt death for a great artist and explorer of the dark and mysterious side of nature. RIP Sleazy, forever in my heart. Like John, I will not forget you. Death is an uncharted territory. Never shall time dissipate us completely.

    I met Peter and all COIL band in Fano (Italy), I do not remember when exactly but I think in the far 2002. They were there for an unforgettable Live performance/concert inside a wonderful Festival “il Violino e la Selce”, artist director FRANCO BATTIATO.
    I was there not only because I loved this band, their music, Peter and John but also because I was an official Photographer and they give me an unique and wonderful possibility to get “forever” a special “memories”. The performance was INCREDIBLE, ABSOLUTELY ASTONISHING, in one word “unforgettable”!!!

    But there is another wonderful moment of that unique meeting, that was in the morning after the concert,…I sleeping in the car for 3/4 hours and after to back to home I passed all morning around walking in this little and very nice country and…AND!!!!!…..I met all band in one fruit market and was a special feast!!..we speak long time and we shoot some photo all together. Peter and John were a very “gentleman”, they ask about me, my life and my about my profession, etc….
    I born in Sicily and they were happy to know this because they have a friend in this special Island, in Cefalù city.

    I’ve a wonderful memories of these person and their kindness and curiosity for the life!….

    My deep condolences and memories for ever! … THANKS!
